Two experiments were conducted to investigate whether olive leaf extracts could affect resistance to viral diseases (SAV3: Pancreas Disease and PRV1: Heart and Skeletal Muscle Inflammation) in salmon.
The models used in the project are established at IMR and the experiments went as expected.
The experimental models and protocols used in this study were developed and validated by IMR. While viral infection inherently induces physiological distress in the fish, this response constitutes an essential, measurable component of our experimental parameters. The observed disease progression provides critical data for our research objectives.
